What to Expect in Your First Hypnotherapy Session
If you’re considering hypnotherapy but feel nervous or uncertain about what actually happens in a session, you’re not alone. Most people come to their first
Unlike approaches that focus primarily on changing thoughts or behaviours, Holistic Integrative Therapy works with the whole person—mind, body, emotions, and spirit.
Trauma often gets stored in the body, showing up as tension, numbness, or heaviness. By connecting with your physical sensations during sessions, we gently uncover emotional experiences that might otherwise stay suppressed.
Rather than providing solutions or directions first, I invite you to explore your inner experiences at your own pace. My role is not to tell you who you are, but to gently guide you as you discover that for yourself.
Transformation happens most naturally when we feel safe enough to be fully seen. The heart of this work lies in the therapeutic relationship itself. You’ll feel heard, understood, and met as an equal in the process. This is a space where you can examine even the most vulnerable parts of yourself.
What if the parts of yourself you’ve been trying hardest to change were once the parts that kept you safe? Emotional avoidance, negative self-beliefs, people-pleasing… They were once necessary for your survival. We’ll explore them without judgment, understanding why they developed and how they might no longer serve you.
Your Journey With Me
We'll explore whether we're the right fit for one another. I only take on clients I'm confident I can support.
In a safe, compassionate space, we explore your inner world together. You'll be guided to connect with physical sensations, emotions, and memories at your own pace. We work with your body's wisdom to uncover and gently release what your nervous system has been carrying.
After the session you may receive a custom recording to support your integration. Ongoing support is available as you integrate your insights and continue your journey.
Some clients find profound shifts in a single session. Others benefit from a series of sessions. Together, we'll follow the pace your healing asks of you.
